Sóller and the Valley of the Orange Trees

One of the most beautiful visual spectacles on the island and, without a doubt, one of the best outdoor activities in Mallorca, is to visit the Valley of the Orange Trees of Sóller. Located after the Coll de Sóller road, since only the climate at this point allows its maintenance, it is a wonderful way to discover Mallorca in an original way.

If you come from the city of Palma you can travel on the century-old Sóller Train, which passes in front of Randemar and whose clatter you can observe from our large terrace in the Port of Sóller, which leaves from the Ses Estacions park, in Plaza España, and live a unique experience.

The orange trees are probably the most famous icon of the north of Mallorca and the Serra de Tramuntana. They were introduced by the Arabs but here they found perfect conditions to develop: humidity, water, a large number of hours of sunshine and barren land.

The Fira de la Toronja has been held in Sóller, Port de Soller and Fornalutx since 2017 and pays tribute to the orange. This event is a true exhibition of the many ways in which this famous fruit can be enjoyed, which has an unforgettable flavour and is part of the gastronomic culture of Sóller.

This fair is held during the month of March, a wonderful time to discover this picturesque town in the north of Mallorca and to stroll through the Port of Sóller to experience a lovely day on the island.

We look forward to seeing you!
